News from Us

We've been quite busy lately. Rafi is studying for his Pediatric Board exams, which he'll write on October 27th. Alyssa's been busy at work, trying to tie up all sorts of loose ends before her maternity leave. Little Baby Firszt is doing well, now at 30 weeks. Only about 2 more months to go. We had our final ultrasound last week and we were once again able to resist the temptation to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. We did find out that the baby weighs 3 pounds, and has a strong heart. We tend to refer to the baby as "he" because we just can't imagine a girl kicking with such force. It's pretty amazing to watch the baby flip and kick from the outside, and we wonder if "he's" going to be a hyper little kid. We're enjoying our last few months of peace and quiet, but we're looking forward to meeting the new addition to our little family.

Mom and Dad in NC!!

Our first visitors!! Alyssa's Mom and Dad flew down from Montreal to spend a few days with us. We drove to Wrightsville Beach the day after a big storm had blown through. The surfers were loving the waves. So were we.
Nice photos underneath the pier at Wrightsville Beach.

Alyssa's Dad hates shopping. When we did venture into the mall, he found ways to keep himself amused. As he did here, judging Rafi the winner in the biggest belly competition, in the purse department of Macy's.
We had a nice visit, and learned our pull-out couch is pretty comfortable. Guests are welcome anytime.

Dad: the baby's crib and dresser arrived. You can come back anytime to help us put it together.

Beatles and Bob's Big Boy

So, we're not very good at remembering to take photos of the exciting things we do. We had a great trip to California to visit Rafi's family, but don't really have many photos to show for it. While we were in Los Angeles, we decided to take a quick trip to Las Vegas. Only a 3 hour drive. We were able to get the last two tickets to the Cirque du Soleil show Love. "O" is still our favourite Cirque show in Vegas, but Love was amazing.
On our way out of town we stopped at Bob's Big Boy for breakfast.

We promise to take more photos next time!
